What made you join Tech Sales Ascension?
I had initially joined CourseCareers because of their promises that partner companies would reach out to me once I graduate. That turned out to be the furthest thing from the truth, and I ended up being in limbo for over six months just waiting for things to happen. I realized I had to take things into my own hands and so I wanted something that was more actionable and was focused on getting me real results.
What was the most valuable part of the program to you?
The interview preparation and prospecting sections really helped build a foundation that allowed me to not only have a steady flow of interviews every single day, but also allowed me to execute on them in a way where I was getting moved to the next rounds. You guys really gave me a guide that I could follow that was giving me real opportunities to land a job. That was one of the biggest differences between you guys and other bootcamps... Others are usually very hypothetical and there's lots of theory involved, whereas you guys were 100% focused on taking action and getting results. I thought that was awesome.
What advice do you have for someone considering Tech Sales or Ascension?
Don't make the same mistake I did. There are no silver bullets when it comes to breaking in, and it actually does take hard work. But that being said, programs like Ascension are there to help you out and get you on a path of least resistance toward breaking in. I wholeheartedly recommend Higher Levels - their training is always updated to be relevant in the market & the instructors are kind, know their stuff, and will help every step of the way.
