What made you join Tech Sales Ascension?
I was in a cybersecurity role before joining but was very limited in my upside making about $70K/Year. I was impacted by layoffs and didn't really know where to go next. I found tech sales and knew it was something I wanted to do after seeing the upward mobility, the success other students were having. I tried to do things on my own at first, but realized very quickly I wouldn't be able to land at the best companies without outside help. I tried CourseCareers first, but didn't get anywhere, and once I saw the companies Ascension was helping students land at, I decided to enroll for a change.
What was the most valuable part of the program to you?
Ascension was a completely different experience from the other programs I had taken. The deep-dive and thorough focus on landing interviews, asking the right questions, presenting myself in a favorable light, etc. was something that I felt gave me an edge above all the other candidates. Not only that, but it was extremely affirming that I had access to the instructors and top performers every single step of the way. The program was incredible from start-to-finish in all aspects of landing a new role.
What advice do you have for someone considering Tech Sales or Ascension?
It's worth it. I'm proof that this stuff works, and I genuinely wouldn't have been able to break in to an incredible organization like Workiva if it wasn't for Higher Levels. I'm super grateful for all the training and guidance, and I can't wait to get started with SDR Accelerator as well. My best piece of advice is get started quicker and take action. Had I commited sooner, I would have been at my dream job much sooner.
