What made you join Tech Sales Ascension?

What made you join AE Mastery?
What made you join Cold Call Mastery?
Even though I already had sales experience—from Cutco to door-to-door and cold calling donors—I knew tech sales was a whole different game. I realized selling windows in the Texas heat isn’t the same as B2B software sales. I started reaching out to people in my SMU and jiu-jitsu networks, and I even connected with a CSO and CMO who encouraged me to move into tech. I originally took Course Careers and thought it was great for foundational knowledge, but it didn’t help me actually break in. What pushed me to join Higher Levels was honestly just watching a ton of their YouTube content—it was relatable, motivating, and packed with real results. I wanted to be part of that.
What was the most valuable part of the program to you?
Higher Levels helped me realize that getting an SDR role isn’t just about applying—it's about treating the job search like you're already in sales. I started seeing myself as the product, and that changed everything. The program made it clear that this isn’t just a job, it’s an entrepreneurial journey. I became more aggressive in my outreach, identified hiring managers, used tools like Apollo and Hunter, and made sure I was always getting in front of decision-makers. The community was also huge. Seeing other students win pushed me to keep going. Within a month, I had interviews with companies like Oracle, Snowflake, and Elastic—and I landed the job at Elastic.

Be aggressive, but patient. Some interview processes, like the one at Elastic, took over 30 days from start to offer. You’re going to get your teeth kicked in a bit, and you’ll hear “no” a lot—but that’s normal. The key is to be prepared, stand out with your outreach, and never just submit and hope. Record yourself, prep mock interviews, and don’t get discouraged if the first few don’t go well. Also, lean on your network and take advantage of the Higher Levels community. If you’re serious about tech sales, Higher Levels will give you the playbook—and it’s up to you to run the plays.
