The secret behind...

Enjoying The Process

Life is a journey with problems to solve, lessons to learn, but most of all – experiences to enjoy.

In this post, I’m going to share something with you that, once I heard it, forever changed the way I look at the world.

Let me ask you something…

Have you ever been so deep into a project, whether it be a sport, your work projects, building your business, practicing a hobby, a video game, anything, that you begin to get completely enveloped in that thing? Especially as an entrepreneur, that thing you’re focusing on becomes all you’re thinking about. You might even start dreaming about it.

This happens because you are obsessed with continuing to crush it, continuing to progress, continuing to innovate… And this is an amazing thing.

It’s a common pattern among the best achievers of our world, to absolutely want to be the best. However, if you go too deep... and you become too obsessed with the “process”, you can easily begin to stray from yourself, from your core, from the mission that started it all for you...

Let me be clear, there is NOTHING wrong with insane drive: That shit is powerful and takes you far.

What I’m saying is, if you catch yourself just aiming for more and more, maybe even taking on that “just keep going” attitude if you’re feeling the pain of your journey, it’s because you’re no longer focused on the current moment of the journey; the process in action…

You have now become focused on the “next thing” aka the result instead of the process...

If you want to operate at your highest level, the unpopular truth is this: You have to be focused on this moment right now.

Here’s why:

When you’re caught up in the habit of chasing that next moment, the next thing, you’re completely missing the current moment, which is the only moment you really ever get to experience. This is like trying to feed a hunger that will never be fulfilled, because you’re constantly chasing after something that you will never truly have (that next moment) and this is a terrible place to be...

The reason this is terrible, is because no matter what you achieve, it will feel empty if you’re not “there” to achieve it...

If you don't stop and calm your thoughts, you are not present...

And trust me, you can achieve anything, and if you’re not present, not focused on the moment at hand, it doesn’t matter what you achieve, because your initial celebration will only last for just a few moments.

It will feel sweet at first because you’re getting “the thing”, but soon enough you’ll be back on the focus of more more more, next thing-next thing, and you still won’t have gotten the point yet...

The truth is that, you’ll never feel the wholeness that life offers, unless you can tap into the moment you’re living now.

The moment is the process in ACTION, and your challenge is to always see the beauty in it, whether it is celebratory, or difficult and painful growth.

At this point of my journey, I have been there so many times. I truly wrote this to you from my heart, speaking this all from experience.

However, I found that there’s a brilliant balance to this...

If you can do the following things, you will be like a superhuman with power beyond all of your competition, and it will catapult you to a universe only the greatest of the greats in this lifetime will ever reach...

If you have what some would call “insane” drive,

If you have that relentlessly burning fire in your gut for more, for progress, for quantum leaps, to absolutely dominate your competition,

and above it all, at the same time:

You are truly enjoying the process, appreciating it for what it is, seeing the beauty in your own process, growth, and transformation...

You are seeing the beauty in what is the infinite vastness and infinite mystery of this present moment... and you also see that beauty in your process, moment to moment, whatever it may be for you.

The trick is this:

The only way you can see the beauty in the process, is through this present moment.

Practicing living in this present moment, feeling good NOW, is your biggest objective, and the key to success in this life.

If you can learn to soak up the beauty of your present moment, moment to moment, every bit of it, as much as possible… While STILL maintaining that relentless burning fire for more, for progress, for quantum leaps, to be #1, to be the ultimate best...

Then you have then tapped into a superhuman mode of efficiency, productivity, work ethic, and presence power.

From this place, you are virtually unstoppable.

The better you get at doing this, the better you become at whatever it is that you do…

Like anything, it’s a skill set. It’s truly a skill to be able to zoom in and zoom out effectively… In life, in business, in everything.

I felt compelled to share these thoughts with you today...

Because as you’re growing your business, you’re going to be in that “process” place for a lot of the time. It’s just part of this game. The key is to also be in the place of presence while you are in that process, and to learn to enjoy that process. To learn to see the beauty in it through this moment, now, always...

This is true focus; this is true mastery of the moment.

The sweet spot is when you are all out striving for more, because you can zoom out and see the master plan, so you know exactly what to do. But at the same time, you are also able to zoom right in to “now” with all you’ve got. This is for high level achievers only.

As a community, let us all strive to be the best we can ever be… To live life fully and freely and to experience this moment, wherever we are.

Something funny, is that I’ve traveled all over the world this year, and I’ll tell you that sometimes when you’re getting that Instagram story to show everyone else, you’re actually just sacrificing your own experience just to show everyone else... and the funny part is, there’s been times where I’ve seen a picture of a place I’ve been to, and thought “damn, I wish I was there to see it myself”

This is because as it happens, you’re not really there. Physically you are there, yes, but mentally… You’re focused on whatever else. Maybe it’s the “next thing”. Or the “next achievement” or the “next moment”... Whatever it is, it isn’t this moment that you’re experiencing now. It’s something else.

Don’t get me wrong, because when you are zoomed out on the bigger picture... the next thing, the next achievement, the master plan; all of that is the most important stuff to focus on.

But when you are zoomed in, living in the moment is the key.

I hope that cultivating the mastery of this skill dramatically changes your life.

So much love,
